Is Now a Good Time to Begin a Real Estate Career?

Is now a good time to start a real estate career?

Is now the time for you to start a career in real estate? To help answer that question, I’d like to address a couple of points:

1. Time commitment. If you’re a prospective agent, you have to be willing to commit three or four years to the business before you’ll really take off. If you come from a strong sales background, you may have a leg up in this industry. Similarly, a background in careers that emphasize self-discipline like law enforcement, the military, or medical careers will also help you get ahead.

2. What’s going on in the market? Currently, we’re in an extreme seller’s market. The market will always swing back and forth between a buyer’s and a seller’s market, so what the current market is doing shouldn’t ultimately affect your decision to start a career. We’ll teach you what you need to know in order to react to the market conditions no matter where they are at a given time. How you’re able to react will depend on two key areas of focus: your marketing efforts and your prospecting methods. Both areas will require your time and money, but if you invest enough of both, your career will be prosperous.

If you have any questions about the real estate market or are interested in beginning a career in real estate, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to hear from you.
