The Lead Generation Rules I Use

Before they hire you, a client needs to know you, like you, and trust you.

Before someone does business with you, they have to know you, they have to love you, and they have to trust you. Here are the reasons why:

1. They have to know you.  People have to know that you’re a real estate agent. You can’t be a secret agent. You’d be surprised by the number of people that get into this business who don’t want to tell their friends and family that they’re real estate agents.

2. They have to love you. Love may be a strong word, but they at least have to like you. Things like smoking or talking about politics are going to turn people off.

3. They need to trust you. Even if you’re a family friend of the client, they’re probably not going to hire you just based on that fact. You need to build up trust by highlighting your professionalism, branding, and by giving people information about the market. Building trust takes time, but those are the clients that will come back and refer others to you.
